Boyd’s Commitment to Design and Manufacturing in the States

Boyd is dedicated to providing design, manufacturing, and sales services both regionally and globally, wherever our customers need us most. We continually grow and optimize our footprint where we can supercharge our customers’ supply chains, respond quickly to customer needs, and deliver sustainable, efficient, and innovative products at the capacities our customers’ demand.

We heard analysts and customers beginning to talk about a Post Globalization Movement with a forecasted return to US manufacturing a few years ago. To get ahead of customer reshoring design and manufacturing needs, we’ve invested heavily in our US manufacturing and design operations.

Since 2019, Boyd has added 6 US facilities after we realized we needed to expand our stateside support, bringing our total US manufacturing facility count to 21. We’ve added design, thermal manufacturing, and precision converting manufacturing capacity to support growth in the aerospace and defense, medical, enterprise, industrial technology, and emobility markets.

We’ve also invested in new equipment to significantly expand capacity in several existing US locations. Since the beginning of 2021, Boyd has invested almost $10M in our US facility infrastructure and equipment. Boyd Woburn, Massachusetts, Boyd Laconia, New Hampshire, and Boyd Niagara, New York are design and manufacturing facilities that produce complex thermal solutions. New CNCs machines increase our fabrication capacity to deliver high quality, advanced liquid cold plates at higher volumes. Later this year, we’ll install a quick turnaround prototype cell in our San Jose, California manufacturing plant to support rapid product development for out west coast customers.
